Since designing this room, I’ve gotten such positive feedback and questions about where I sourced the furniture and accessories. To be honest, most of these items were things I already had in storage, family heirlooms, or one of a kind vintage finds. This look is easy to replicate, so I searched for similar products that you can purchase online and make it your own!
A note about the gallery wall: You can do this one or two ways – you can slowly collect vintage artwork over time and add to the wall as you go. Or, if you prefer to get it all done in one shopping trip, you can still get the same look with prints from my good friend April’s shop, Vintage Supply Print Shop. She has spent hours (years!) searching and curating a beautiful selection of vintage artwork and has made prints accessible and price approachable. I recommend finding sketches, oil paintings, and combining other styles for a more collected-over-time feel. Make sure to purchase the prints in different sizes for an eclectic and visually interesting gallery wall. Finding old frames at second hand stores is also a great way to add character and history to artwork.
Adding in greenery gives life to any room. My favorite approach is to add tropical greenery to traditional styles for contrast. Check out Bloomist for more dried or faux greenery. It will change your room completely!
