Calnin Design Studio is led by Katie, a Madison-based design firm crafting timeless interiors with natural materials and vibrant neutrals. Inspired by her grandmother’s slow living rituals and European elegance, she anchors designs into timeless interiors that celebrate everyday life—spaces that combine functionality with thoughtful details, and a touch of nostalgia. 

After years in social services, she believes great design helps people thrive and guides families toward homes that are calm, connected, and inviting.

Katie lives in Madison, WI with her partner Gil and their son Max, serving clients across the Midwest including Madison, Green Lake, Milwaukee, and Chicago.
