The Barn
Someone once said, “Let’s make this old barn into a getaway retreat.” The end. Well, sort of. With it’s many challenges, set backs, and invigorating planning stages, this ‘old barn’ did in fact turn into a very special and unique space for those looking to vacation with family and friends.

The barn features 2 main levels with an elevator for easier access. The layout consists of 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a loft, an outdoor patio, and an open floor plan joining the kitchen and dining space. We were inspired by the barn’s history and time period of when it was first built, originally in the early 1900s. We wanted to honor the barn’s past and not change it into something completely different. We kept the original beams exposed and introduced modern architectural elements. We loved creating a classic English style supported by vintage and antique finds to keep within the integrity of the barn. Overall, the old and new marry each other quite well and provide guests with a cozy and warm retreat.
