This century-old barn was purchased by the family in the 1980s and served as a home for Kartie's grandparents for 40 years. It has since been reimagined as a 12-person rental, part of Anaway Place, a short-term rental business in Southern Wisconsin. Calnin Design Studio led the renovation design and interior furnishing for this project, honoring the original structure while making it a special getaway for guests. Vintage accessories and pieces that respect the barn's history were layered throughout, rather than covering it over — natural materials, timeworn character, and furniture built for a full house.
